This website and Instagram profile are my personal DIY notebook – dedicated to life with a spinal cord injury (C4–C5 quadriplegia) and practical solutions for everyday challenges.

Beyond standard insurance-covered equipment (hospital beds, patient lifts, shower chairs, etc.), I realized most ready-made aids don’t fully meet my needs. Many are overpriced or too generic – designed to “fit everyone,” but optimally solving no one’s problems. Then comes the moment you think: “What I truly need… doesn’t exist yet.”

So I started building my own fixes. From simple adaptations like a custom phone holder or holder for toothbrush, to complex systems for easier turning in bed. Each one, no matter how small, reshapes daily life. That’s why I’m sharing my journey – to turn small fixes into big wins for others.

What you’ll find here:

✔ Stories & tips – Navigating quadriplegia, from struggles to life-tested hacks.
✔ DIY projects – Custom tools and systems that fill gaps in commercial aids.
✔ Raw inspiration – Because the best solutions often come from those living the challenge.

Why share this?

Every spinal cord injury is unique. No single solution works for all – but maybe an idea here will spark someone’s “Aha! I can try that!” Over the years, some of my tweaks became indispensable; others were phased out. If just one helps someone else, it’s worth it.

If you’ve ever thought, “I wish this existed…” – try making it yourself. Because even when a solution seems impossible… you might be the one to invent it.

Reach out, share your ideas, or just say hello. You never know whose life you’ll change.
